Gulet Cruises

Gulets are traditional Turkish sailing vessels originally purpose-built for fishing, but today are the most popular and comfortable passenger craft in the region. Typically made from timber, dual-masted with a sharp bow, broad beam and wide deck, these traditional yet contemporary Gulets are comfortable, well-equipped with modern facilities and perfect for sailing the Aegean Coast.

Vessels vary in size and accommodation – usually 4 to 6 double cabins with facilities – and each Gulet is hand-crafted in Turkey, taking the better part of 12 months to build. A casual, relaxed atmosphere pervades every Gulet cruise.

Gulet Cruise Information

• Embarkation starts at 15.30 hrs and all itineraries and times are subject to change without notice
• All cabins are outside, small with private facilities, some with bunk beds. Towels are not provided
• Basic English commentary spoken on board by crew
• Surcharge applies for single cabin occupancy: 60% on share double per person cost. Towels are not provided
• Most cruising done under engine power and not sail
• Tipping customary at end of cruise and given to captain for distribution to crew
• Welcome cocktail. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner daily. All drinks are extra and sold on board as guests not permitted to BYO
• Harbor expenses/ local VAT taxes included. Personal harbor taxes getting on the Greek Islands payable on arrival
• We highly recommend an arrival transfer as both ports are quite hectic & the vessel docking location can change at the last minute. Please ask for extra cost at time of booking
